Mike Eisenhart, PT

Mike Eisenhart is a husband and father of three, a son, a brother to 5 and an uncle to many. Mike is also a physical therapist, a health consultant, Pro-Activity’s managing partner and a self-proclaimed mad scientist on the move; a passionate subject matter expert in the realms of injury and disease prevention, as well as human performance and achievement. Mike can usually be found pushing himself (and the status quo) either on behalf of his clients or in an effort to live his personal mission of being a “doer of extraordinary things”. Mike Eisenhart is a leader in the physical therapy profession having held posts at the local, state and national levels for the American Physical Therapy association, the nation’s largest professional association for physical therapists including the role of President of the association’s NJ chapter from 2015 to 2017. In addition, as one of the profession’s top innovators, formally recognized in 2013 for work done on Pro-Activity’s Prevention Model, which he pioneered initially in 1999, Mike has written extensively ranging from blogs and trade journals to more formal peer-reviewed publications. His most recent formal work was the chapter “Work Injury Prevention and Management: The Role of the Physical Therapist in Injury Reduction/Prevention and Workforce Wellness” in 2014, on behalf of the national Orthopedic Section of the APTA. Professionally, Mike is perhaps most widely known as a passionate speaker/presenter and coach, having lectured on health and prevention to thousands of clients, employers, professionals and students, in audiences both small and large over the years…..and when he’s not chasing his kids or logging the swim-bike-run miles, he can be found….sleeping of course.

Eric Eisenhart is a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and partner with Pro-Activity Associates . Graduating in 2003 Cum Laude from Cornell University, Eric serves Pro-Activity as Director of Health & Fitness Services. Having been involved in athletics as a competitor and coach all his life, Eric not only believes, but acts upon the tenants that health and personal wellness are essential building blocks for optimal performance in work, play, and life. Although a self-stated “non-runner” he has completed numerous marathons, including 3 “Bostons”, as well as a handful of middle-distance triathlon events. However, Eric remains firm that his proudest moments haven't been crossing any finish line, but instead, assisting clients in overcoming personal obstacles, make lasting health changes and performance gains they can be proud of, and achieving their own goals. In his tenure, he has consulted with and coached a diverse client set including numerous Fortune 500 companies, and individuals ranging from youth and the general public to elite-athlete and Olympian. A former First-Team Academic All-Ivy League member, throughout his career he has been a highly regarded presenter, having experience addressing both domestic and international audiences. Eric and his wife Amy reside in the Annandale section of Clinton Twp., NJ with their two children Emma and Thomas.

Amy has been providing clinical and consulting Physical Therapy services for 20 years. She has advanced clinical training, holding a Doctorate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, a Graduate Certificate in Women’s Health Physical Therapy and was a Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties - one of only 42 in the entire state of NJ and less than 1500 nationally - for 10 years. Amy’s personal mission is to educate healthcare consumers on the biomechanical aspects of human movement. Specifically, she believes in the prevention of over-use and postural based movement inefficiencies that lead to dysfunction. She has a special interest in overall health promotion to prevent inflammation and the potential for disease processes. Amy remains active in professional associations and the local community through youth coaching and charitable events. She finds that a deeper understanding of her patient’s needs comes from her personal experience with endurance running and swimming. She has completed 6 half marathons and a half-iron aquathlon.
Nicholas Pfaff, CPT, CES

Nick is a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and joined the Pro-Activity team in 2005. Since then, Nick has assisted in nearly all aspects of the company including clinical operations management, evolving Pro-Activity’s M360 program as a fitness specialist, as part of the prevention team helping corporate clients to achieve health and safety goals, and most recently becoming a partner in early 2013. A graduate of Cornell University as an Electrical Engineer and former NCAA Division I athlete, Nicholas also serves the company by providing technology support and fueling technological innovation, helping Pro-Activity to stay on the forefront of current technology trends. Realizing after graduation that his true passion lay in his athletic roots, he took equal parts athlete and engineer, mixed them together with a post graduate certification in personal training and created an individual who dissects movement in both training and ergonomics and helps clients by applying this critical eye in a simplified, practical way. When he's not tinkering in the Pro-Activity lab, you can find Nick running the trails of North Jersey. He has a few ultra-marathon completions, including most recently a 100-mile run in Northern Ohio. Nick, his wife Alissa, and daughter Blair currently reside in Glen Rock, NJ
Dr. Justin Bagley, PT, DPT

Justin earned his clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University (recognized within the top 10 US Physical Therapy schools by US News and World Report). Dr. Bagley practices in the areas of orthopedics and neuromuscular rehabilitation, injury/disease prevention, wellness and human performance. With this background along with experience working with utilities throughout the tri-state area, he brings a unique understanding of the risks faced each day in the industrial environment. He has taken special interest in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of lower extremity and running related injuries and is currently pursuing his Orthopedic Clinical Specialists certification. As an athlete and keen observer of human movement and performance throughout his life a few recurring questions have always remained: what is the difference between individuals who remain healthy and those who are chronically injured? Through research the answer has become quite clear. By correcting common movement faults, incorporating the proper elements of training/work intensity and volume paired with the right dosage of recovery and nutrition, individuals can excel. This combination has proven successful for him both with patients and personally as he moved from collegiate level soccer athlete to an endurance athlete with events ranging from the 5K through the 50 mile ultra marathon

Chris graduated from William Patterson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, and is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine Performance Enhancement Specialist, National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Functional Movement Systems Functional Movement Screen Certified. He is a lifelong sports enthusiast, playing soccer from age three through high school, college, and at the club level for seven years with the Jersey Knights. Chris believes that taking a scientific and evidence-based approach, in combination with hard work and the correct weight and speed and agility training, can maximize the potential of all athletes. He is an avid fan of the United States Men’s National Soccer team, Everton Football Club, the New York Knicks, New York Giants, and enjoys watching soccer at all levels from youth to pro. He lives in Annandale and likes to spend his free time weight training and playing soccer, basketball and football.

Gene is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who believes strongly in bridging the current gap in fitness, training, and rehabilitation. Consistent with Pro-Activity’s “Always an Athlete” approach, Gene’s personal focus is on helping people achieve their goals through improved physical performance regardless of current ability or potential obstacles that may be standing in the way. Gene grew up an athlete, competing in both wrestling and soccer, however his athletic career was frequently put on hold with the development of chronic and persistent injury resulting from limited guidance in training and recovery. Fueled to find answers and to prevent others from going through the same heartbreak, Gene set out to further his education with the intention of filling some of the healthcare gaps he experienced first hand, with particular emphasis on proper rehabilitation and training. He completed his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers University, and went on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a Certified Sports Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting (USAW), and completing his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at Drexel University, while maintaining a critical focus on finding find the most evidence-based methods to bring the worlds of training and rehabilitation together. With advanced training and certifications in functional movement, manual therapy & mobilization, Russian sports massage, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM), and pin and stretch techniques, Gene currently serves Pro-Activity as both a physical therapist and strength coach, and has been instrumental in driving an innovative, cutting-edge approach, and seamlessly linking rehabilitation with fitness and performance training. He currently resides in Somerset County, and when he's not treating patients, training clients, or exercising himself, you will find him playing the guitar or piano, and writing and recording music of multiple genres in his home recording studio.
Lindsay Eisenhart

Lindsay earned a Bachelor’s degree Cum Laude in Diagnostic Genetic Science from the University of Connecticut in 1998 and worked in the pharmaceutical industry until the birth of her first child. She then transitioned to managing the finances for Pro-Activity where she could work from home. When her last child enrolled in school, she started working on what was then the “Fuel Good Project” with the goal of bringing healthier food to the community. The Fuel Good Cafe opened it’s doors in May of 2011, where she has served as the manager until 2014, but still continues to be involved and oversees menu and process development. Since then, Lindsay has taken the role of operations manager for Pro-Activity, earned a certificate in Plant Based Cooking and is currently working on her Health Coaching Certification to help clients and friends navigate the world of “food as fuel” and make healthier choices in their day to day lives. Lindsay is married, has three kids, two dogs, and her favorite past time is hitting the pavement; she has completed 3 marathons (1 unofficial finish was the Sandy-relief marathon after the effects of Hurricane Sandy cancelled the NYC Marathon in 2012), 12 half marathons and numerous other road races. She loves anything with avocados & tomatoes (goes together like peanut butter and jelly!), favorite color is blue and loves to watch soccer (especially when it’s one of her kids playing). Her ultimate bucket list goal is to qualify for and run the Boston Marathon.

We are excited to welcome Carl "Pop" Perone to the Fuel Good kitchen! Raised in Hackensack, Carl spent more than 50 years in the food service business. These days, he’s enjoying his retirement in Delray Beach, but is still whipping up some of the freshest entrees and Italian staples our family has grown up on. He is the inspiration for many of our menu offerings.
